The sheer number of wrecks from Carlingford Lough to Inishowen Head prevented the author from the treatment of anything like the complete list, but he has tried to include all that involved large vessels, and all that included fatalities. A rough distance limit of 2 miles was set for offshore casualities, but in cases of specially interesting vessels, or those with direct Ulster connections, that rule was waived. |
